Motivating Your Employees
Don’t make motivating your employees harder than it has to be…A few simple tips can make you a great boss and give you the best employees…
Setting goals is the first thing you want to do. Make the goals clear, so the employee knows what the company needs and so they can come up with a plan to succeed.
Next, give your employee some motivation. Give them something they want.
We’ve all heard of the “Employee of the Month” program, only why not give it a face lift. Instead of the picture on the wall or a front parking space, why not update it something more personal for your employee.
Most employees love two things…more money and time off from work…So why not give them a day off…or a gift card to some place that they would be interested in…
Check with your local amusement park…if the project is really tough and your staff meets the deadlines, why not give them a family pass to an amusement park or something similar.
Sometimes something as simple as donuts and coffee given to your employees once a week or so can be motivating. Let them eat and talk about things other than work. This is also a great way to get to know your staff better…
Make sure you work with your employees to help them succeed. Give recognition as soon as possible.
