Motivate Your Staff

So yesterday, you started thinking about your staff and where their strengths are and today I want to show you how to motivate those strengths to bring out the best in your employees…
Day 2 – Motivate Your Staff

Unfortunately, everyone is not motivated in the same way.  Some people love the recognition.  They want to be brought up in front of their co-workers and given awards.  Other people just want to see more in their paycheck and could care less about anything else.  So how do you motivate the same, when everyone is different?

You need to find a balance between all of your employees.  Find out what each of them would like as rewards and/or recognition and then find a middle point to work with.

If you have one employee that would love to get awards with their name on it so they can have something to hang up in their office and then you have another employee that wants money, what do you do?  You find a balance.  You find that middle ground where they both can get what they want.  Decide what recognition deserves an award and what recognition deserves money.  Most sales = award / most money from sales = money for your employee.

Find out what your staff wants and then you can figure out how to motivate them.
